THORESBY HALL HOTEL

Thoresby hall was built for the third Earl Manvers in 1871 and owes its architecture to Anthony Salvin. This 150-year-old Nottinghamshire stately home has had a varied history, serving as a training base in the Second World War and was later briefly owned by the National Coal Board.

Until 1955 Thoresby Hall continued as a fully-staffed country house, but more recently has been transformed into a country house hotel. In 2019 work began to refurbish 20 bedrooms and bathrooms in the Grade 1 listed part of the historic hotel, followed by a further 15 bedrooms in early 2020.

Each bedroom is individual in design, seamlessly blending the unique historic features of the building with luxurious comfort, forming an idyllic retreat in the heart of the English countryside. Styled with a calming combination of luxurious linens, embroidered fabrics and botanical patterns, these guest rooms epitomise the classic beauty of an english country house.
